From the time we are young, we are told the danger of bullying, and how we should always intervene if we see someone being bullied. Despite being told this, kids who report bully-behavior are labeled "tattle-tales" by both their peers and by teachers, and if a child tries to defend himself or herself against a physical attack, they are punished. If we keep using the system already in place, how are we supposed to conquer bullying? It isn't possible. As long as we keep the system as it is, it will never end. We have to show this to children: we have to teach them not to bully. We need to teach them what bullying is. We need to stop blaming the victim for being bullied. Above all, we must set a good example for our children. Can we dare to break the prevailing habit? I believe that we can.
